Yin yoga is a mild and meditative practice, in which you are invited to move from the thinking mind into feeling. In contrast to more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin yoga doesn't aim to strengthen the muscles, but to relax them. By relaxing our muscles, we target our connective tissues in the deeper layers of the body. We stay for up to 5 minutes in asanas (yin poses) to work deeply in our connective tissues. That way, you create space in your body and mind.
The yin yoga special was created from a heartfelt wish to dive deep into different themes and to combine yin yoga with other beautiful practices to create a deep journey inwards. Each teacher will bring a different theme into the class that resonates that day.
Yin Yoga is the stable factor but it can be approached from a different view or combined with another practice like Circular Breathing, Yoga Nidra, Mantra, Pranayama, Energywork e.o.
Each teacher will bring their own flavor and beloved practice to the mat to share on Sunday afternoon. The invitation is always to explore a deeper practice.
Please always inform the teacher in case you're pregnant. If you've just given birth, we advise not to practice yin for at least 3 months to give the body time to strengthen again.
